Re: LAP file library now online
Hi Bob, As long as the sectors cross the circuit it doesn't matter so much which one you use. I honestly can't remember, but as two are labelled 'International' I would start with the 'Oulton Park.lap'. Sorry my labelling wasn't better, I note that one is from 2010! When I have (3S) or (4S) after th...

Re: DL1 SD card lose
It does sound like maybe you have a faulty SD card socket. Suggest you raise a support case and see what they say.

Re: DL1 SD card lose
Hi John - I haven't had that, but to stop the GPS sensor going haywire I had to put some foam under it.
On the SD card.....mine pushes in and clicks and then you have to push it in again to take it out. At least I'm pretty sure it works that way because I've flicked it out before!

Re: Connecting D2P to Rover Mems ECU
This doesn't help with your core request, but the OBD output from MEMS is a serial data stream at a very very slow rate. It is OK for reading error codes and maybe something like temperatures which change slowly but it's useless for anything that needs updating more than once per second. Sorry....

Re: Wheel Speed differential (Detecting loss of traction)
In my experience, the values you get when breaking traction will be significantly greater than normal differential differences when cornering etc. You might also want to compare wheel speed with GPS speed if you are interested in both wheels losing traction on acceleration etc.

Re: No log files crearted
How did you format the CF card......under Windows 10? Unfortunately Windows 10 cannot format the card in a compatible way.

Re: Dash 2 channel name issue from DL1
DL1 Mk 2 requires the CF card to be formatted as FAT which is no longer possible under Windows 10. Do you have an earlier PC you can use to format the card?

Approach for tracks where start line and finish line are not in the same place
What is the best way to log on tracks which have this? Let's take Spa for example. The start line is further towards La Source, but the finish line is 'before' it, soon after the exit to the bus stop. If you set the lap marker to be at the start line, you should get lap timing that works from lap 1 ...

"Speed and distance options" for Dash 4 Pro
There's nothing about this menu option in the knowledge base - can anyone help with the details? Display speed from combining acceleration and GPS data doesn't really make sense to me on a Dash 4 given that it has no sensors and gets everything from the serial feed in the DL1? What is 'reset distanc...

They are included as part of the main software download now, there are not separate updater apps.

LAP file library now online
Hi all,
After spending quite a few years emailing .lap files to people, I've made my collection available online here.
If you have suggestions or contributions, please let me know and I will add them.
I hope it helps.
Charles
